- Description: There is no timeline for becoming whole again. Give yourself the same patience you would offer someone you love. Healing is not a race, and your heart doesn't owe anyone an expiration date on its pain.

***"The people who tell you to move on are rarely the ones who had to learn how to survive what broke you."***

*Someone asked me this week if I was finally "over it."*

*The question wasn't cruel.*

*It was casual.*

*The kind people ask because they don't know what else to say when enough time has passed that they think the pain should have too.*

*I smiled.*

*I said I was doing better.*

*Both things were true.*

*Neither answered the question.*

*I've realized we live in a world that's uncomfortable with slow healing. We celebrate milestones, transformations, and happy endings. We don't talk nearly enough about the quiet days in between, where you're still carrying pieces of your heartbreak but you're also beginning to laugh again.*

*Healing isn't dramatic most of the time.*

*It's ordinary.*

*It's choosing to get out of bed on the mornings you don't feel like yourself. It's finding joy without feeling guilty for it. It's noticing that a memory no longer steals your entire day, only a few quiet minutes.*

*Those moments count.*

*For a long time, I measured my progress by what still hurt.*

*If I cried, I thought I was moving backward.*

*If I missed him, I believed I'd failed.*

*But grief has never followed a calendar.*

*Neither does healing.*

*Some days I feel like I've climbed a mountain.*

*Other days, a familiar song pulls me right back to the beginning.*

*That doesn't erase the distance I've already traveled.*

*It simply reminds me that hearts don't heal in straight lines.*

*I've stopped asking myself whether I should be further along by now.*

*Instead, I've started asking a different question.*

*Am I being kinder to myself than I was yesterday?*

*Most days...*

*The answer is finally yes.*

*Maybe that's enough.*

*Maybe healing isn't about reaching a finish line.*

*Maybe it's about learning to walk beside your past without letting it decide where you're going.*

*I think that's a life worth building.*

*Until next Tuesday.*
