*I thought missing him would mean missing everything.*

*His laugh. His hands. The way he could walk into a room and somehow make the rest of it disappear.*

*And I do miss those things.*

*But tonight, I made a different list.*

*I don’t miss wondering.*

*I don’t miss staring at my phone and trying to decide whether silence means busy or bored or someone else.*

*I don’t miss rearranging my feelings so they take up less space.*

*I don’t miss pretending something didn’t hurt because admitting it did might make me difficult to love.*

***Maybe healing isn’t only learning how to live without someone.***

***Maybe it’s finally noticing all the things you can breathe without.***
